NAPC : Wednesday – Friday, Sept 14-16
Primary sessions for the North American Permaculture Convergence (NAPC) will be Wednesday – Friday, building on the working groups and efforts from the 1st NAPC as well as the last International Permaculture Convergence held in the United Kingdom. In addition to the working groups, there will be a number of workshops, and open space geared towards sharing advanced permaculture skills and expanding efforts in the permaculture movement at large. Working groups for the NAPC, as well as workshop content, will also continue throughout the entire weekend.
BRCC : Friday – Sunday, Sept 16-18
As we move into the weekend, the scope of the event will broaden to include a larger set of workshops, speakers, topics, and activities geared towards the public at large. There will be large group plenary sessions, open space, networking activities, live music, performing artists… climaxing in the “Ultimate Permaculture Passion Show!” on Sunday evening.
More Program Details can be found here:
NAPC Working Groups: Working Groups are intended to bring people together who have similar interests, and are meeting at various times Wednesday through Friday. Topics include decolonizing permaculture, permaculture and art, and bioregional collaborations.
Open Space (Friday 9:30 am – 12:15 pm): Your chance to present your own workshop! We would love to focus this year on hands-on demos and permaculture skill shares (make your own compost! Design your own food forest!) but you are free to talk about whatever you want to!
Bioregional Sessions (Working Group starting on Wed 2:45 – 4 pm with on-going opportunities throughout the event; and Friday 2 – 4 pm): This is an excellent chance to meet like-minded folks in your local region and find out how to connect with them after the Convergence. Don’t miss it! Please bring brochures, post cards and other materials from your own projects, programs and regions to share!
Passion Show (Sunday 7:00pm): We are hosting an Open Mic at the Convergence and are looking for aspiring singers, dancers, comedians, poets, instrumentalists, etc. to perform for our community and show your talents! You can sign up on-site before the show on Sunday.
